Conference Call: David Ben David

DAVID BEN DAVID is the founding director of the Israel Aid Mission, a rapid-response crisis-relief team. Founded in 2010 in response to the tragic earthquake in Haiti, the IAM responds immediately to man-made and natural disasters both within Israel and internationally with emergency medicine, food supply, shelter and security.

With the support of the local Jewish community in South Florida, David was able to equip and lead an emergency medical team to Port Au Prince, which, over a four-week period, saved more than 400 lives and fed more than 20,000 starving refugees. Video footage of this operation can be viewed at www.youtube.com/IsraelAidMission.

David is dedicated to firmly establishing the IAM within Israel so that it will be ready, if ever needed, to respond locally and globally at a moment’s notice when disasters strike. Currently the IAM is stockpiling medicine and emergency food supplies. He hopes to lead a mission to Africa, most-likely Southern Sudan, in the coming months.

Born in Cape Town, South Africa and raised in the United States and Canada, David made Aliyah two years ago and currently is living in Jerusalem. He has a variety of life experiences including joining a special unit of the South African Police Service when he was 18 for four years. When he was 25, he founded an engineering company in Palm Beach, Fla. called Southern Management.
