JERUSALEM, September 8, 2010 – Israelis are celebrating the Jewish New Year hoping for a successful outcome to peace negotiations with Palestinians as Iranian-backed terrorists in Gaza fired more rockets at civilians in southern Israel.

A mortar shell fired from Gaza exploded between two day-care centers in a kibbutz in southern Israel on Wednesday shortly before the children were supposed to arrive. Several teachers were in the buildings at the time. There were no injuries, though one of the buildings was damaged. [more]
