Nigeria currently sits on the U.N. Security Council and is one of the largest member-states of the African Union.

Tel Aviv: A New "Home for Refugee Children

Jerusalem, March 24 - Immigrant children at Bialik-Rogozin, the Israeli school featured in the Oscar award-winning documentary Strangers No More, say that Israel gave them a new life. The school is located in southern Tel Aviv only a short distance from the location where a military-grade rocket fired from Gaza recently fell in the southern suburbs of that city.

The rally, “1600 for 1600 – Humanitarian Rally for Gilad Shalit,” was organized to draw 1,600 people to represent each day Shalit has been held hostage.

Dan Diker Meets with Leading Journalists in Washington, D.C.

Washington, Nov. 8-9 -- TIP hosted Director of Strategic Affairs for the World Jewish Congress Dan Diker for several on-the-record press meetings about the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and Iran. He is also a foreign policy fellow at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs (JCPA). 

TIP's Marcus Sheff and Eli Ovits met with U.S. Deputy Chief of Mission Thomas Goldberger, who was just posted to Israel from Washington, D.C. Sheff presented TIP's latest polling from the West Bank and Gaza and highlighted TIP's work across the Arab world, Israel and the United States. PARIS and LONDON, Oct. 20-21, 2010: The Israel Project’s (TIP) Arabic Program hosted Israel’s Minister of Minority Affairs Prof. Avishai Braverman for meetings with Arabic press in Paris and London, international hubs for Arabic media.

Israel, Oct. 20-22:  Stan Greenberg, Ph.D., met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Intelligence and Atomic Energy Dan Meridor. TIP-Israel's Executive Director Marcus Sheff and Executive Director for International Affairs Laura Kam were also there to discuss the implications for Israel of Greenberg’s polling of Arabs in Gaza and the West Bank.

Israel, Oct. 20-22: Greenberg presented TIP’s exclusive research to top Israel government leaders and communications professionals at Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also held meetings with Israeli President Shimon Peres, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat.

During more than an hour of Q&A with journalists from U.S., Arabic, French and Israeli outlets, Shalev offered insights on Iran, the United Nations General Assembly and the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks. She said the Palestinians should recognize Israel as the Jewish homeland and stop teaching their children to hate Jews.
