  • 61 percent of Americans support coming to the military defense of Israel if it strikes Iranian nuclear facilities and Iran retaliates.
  • While large majorities support diplomacy, increased sanctions and support for the regime’s internal opponents, most are skeptical they will deter Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
  • 51 percent favor military strikes by the U.S. and its allies If Iran does not stop its nuclear program.
